Following the passing of Governance proposal 4745 by the Terra Community to whitelist ampWHALE, bWHALE & rSWTH as Alliance assets, LUNA staking rewards for rSWTH will go live on 25 Aug 2023 at 12:27:41 hours (UTC).

Please follow the guide below to stake your rSWTH on Terra to participate in the inaugural interchain staking event and earn additional LUNA yield:

Downloading Station

If you don’t yet have a Station wallet, follow the steps in this setup guide to download the Station Chrome or Firefox browser extensions and set up a wallet.

Please ignore the ‘Mobile’ and ‘Desktop’ walkthroughs, as those are unnecessary for this walkthrough.

Staking guide

  1. You will need a small amount of LUNA to pay for gas on Terra (~5 LUNA should be fine to start). Obtain LUNA through a centralized exchange or on-chain via TFM and withdraw it to your Terra wallet address on Station:
    1. Visit a crypto exchange that is available in your country: LUNA Markets
    2. Get some LUNA
    3. Withdraw it to your Terra wallet address on Station:
      1. Copy your Terra wallet address from the Station browser extension by clicking on ‘Receive’ and then the copy button for your Terra wallet
      2. Paste your Terra wallet address into the exchange withdrawal address and then withdraw your LUNA
  2. If you don’t yet have SWTH in your Station wallet, swap any token for SWTH on Carbon using TFM
  3. FIS is the fee token for Stafihub, the rSWTH liquid staking provider. Obtain FIS by visiting Stafihub and swapping ATOM on Cosmos for FIS on Carbon (Note: The Station team is working with Stafihub to integrate Station into their app soon, but it has not yet been completed. Users will need a Keplr wallet to complete this step):
    1. ATOM can be purchased on a centralized exchange or by swapping any token on TFM
  4. Stake SWTH on Stafihub to earn Carbon staking rewards and obtain rSWTH, a liquid-staked version of SWTH
  5. Bridge your rSWTH to Terra by using tfm.com/ibc
